The major factor giving Coaching Institute its credibility is that it is founded by a Master Certified Coach (MCC) - Terri Levine. MCC is the highest certification granted by the International Coach Federation, and involves meeting rigorous standards.

I've personally seen the training manual and it does indeed look 'comprehensive'.

This program is based on a holistic approach and natural coaching skills. The courses at Coaching Institute are highly customizable. You can choose from a variety of electives and can take as few or as many courses per month as you want.

A major advantage of this school is that you can 'trial' the training for 2 weeks before committing to the full course. With so many schools these days not providing refunds, this is a valuable option. The way to do this is to buy the Comprehensive Coaching Package before you enroll in the training course. If you love the training, you can just upgrade to the certified training course. If you don't love it, just get a refund within 2 weeks. I recommend this approach for students interested in this school.

If you're a die-hard ICF fan, however, this course may not be for you. To date I haven't heard of anyone who got ICF accreditation through this school - which doesn't mean you won't, but it raises the question. You do get CCU's internal certification which is sufficient for many coaches.

Also be aware the language and marketing methods can be more promotional than other schools. However the flip side of this is you can learn a lot - copy the promotions you like with your clients, and leave the rest.

Students of this school would join because they love the training and philosophy, they admire and respect Terri Levine, and/or they want to learn from the strong marketing and practice building focus Terri demonstrates. I recommend you request their newsletter, and the details of their training course. Get the Comprehensive Coaching Package first, and decide from there.
