Coachville has some free information available on their Web site and I have spend some time with it. There is very good and useful info. One of their programs allows you to sign up for free teleclasses. I have been extremely impressed with these.
While essentially promotional, there has been actual material discussed. The most impressive was a recent coaching demonstration. This was an actual session of coaching one of the students by Coach Dave Buck, who runs CV. The coaching sessions are part of their program. Coach Dave demonstrated his new coaching model and afterward everyone who wanted to participate in the discussion was allowed to. He even stayed on for an extended time after the call was scheduled to end. I received vicarious coaching for myself and also learned a lot of interesting ideas that will help with my clients and especially with the marketing. I am very impressed with their approach and plan to take some courses from them.
Coach Dave is using what he calls game pattern language to describe coaching. At first I thought it was just being cute and was taking the sports metaphor too far, but I've come to see that it is a actually a clear, precise, concrete way of speaking in terms that are easily understood by everyone, so coaching becomes less mysterious and difficult to explain and easier to sell.
Personally, I've found the material here a cut above anything else out there. The approach to coaching is very professional and very practical. Not the same ole stuff you get everywhere else. Coachville seems to have more theory and technique behind their teachings. Their take is that the coach needs to bring some expertise about the game to the relationship or he isn't doing his job. Not all the answers are inside the mind of the client, according to Coach Dave.

Thanks to your guide I was able to actually test or talk with people live at two or three of the coaching schools. I enrolled in Coachville's full SOC and am loving it! It's got a few coaches whose style isn't what I like however on the whole their coaches who do the teaching are awesome.
